REUSABLE SQUARE FRAMESquarrels stack, so they take up about 1/3 the space of a traditional barrel.
The square shape also means that Squarrel barrels can use less wood to cover the same about of internal wood extraction. |
CIP SPRAY BALLEasily sanitize the frame with a CIP spray ball.
The staves can also be sanitized with hot water, steam, or by baking them in an oven on a low heat. (Just ask for more details and we'll share our SOP on this.) |
SAMPLE VAVLE/DRAIN PORTSimply twist to taste!
No more sticky nails or lost bungs here. The 10-gallon Squarrels have a 1.5in TC drain port and the 30 and 60-gallon Squarrels have a 2in TC drain port. |
Sanke spearUse the Micromatic Sanke Spear cap, complete with a PRV, to hook your Squarrel up to your tap line- just like you would with a regular keg.
Squarrels can be carbonated up to 20psi. |
SEPARATE STAVESEach stave is separate so each barrel can house a variety of different wood types, toast levels, char levels and flavors.
On the flip side, recreating a barrel and replicating your customized recipe is now incredibly straightforward. |
epdm gasketMade from the same material as most of the gaskets you're already using, this internationally certified EPDM is strong and sturdy yet flexible.
The gasket fits within a groove in the stave and is easily removed for cleanings. |
There are 3 different Squarrel sizes: 10-gallon, 30-gallon and 60-gallon.
Each Squarrel uses the same size stave so you easily scale between sizes. The 10-gallon Squarrels are available now, while the 30 and 60-gallon Squarrels will be released later this year. We recommend stacking the 10 and 30-gallon Squarrels 3 high, and stacking the 60-gallon Squarrels 2 high. Logistically, the square shape allows for additional cost saving benefits. Squarrels are easily packed in boxes or stacked on pallet, and once you have the frame at your facility you only need to reorder the staves- which are also flat and easy to ship! |
